LA NASCITA DI UNA NUOVA ICONA
Per celebrare il 90° anniversario di Boffi, Piero Lissoni ha progettato il
sistema cucina Novanta. La base incassata crea l'illusione che l'unità
solida, realizzata in acciaio inox con ante in legno massello, sia sospesa
sopra il pavimento. Questi due componenti tattili sono l'esempio
perfetto per dimostrare come la ricerca nel design industriale di Boffi
abbia portato a nuovi tipi di architetture e materiali.

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Boffi, Piero Lissoni has designed the Novanta kitch-
en system. The recessed base creates the illusion that the sturdy unit, made in stainless
steel with doors in solid wood, is floating above the floor. These two tactile components
are the perfect example to show how the industrial design research of Boffi has led to new
types of architectures and materials.
