Maurizio Mancini says referring to the lamp designed for Davide Groppi:
I have always been fascinated by stories about the Masai. The Masai are a unique people far from us. Their origin is said to have taken place when the ancestor of all Masai - Mamasinta - climbed the great ravine.

All this to explain that our lamps never arise simply from the idea of a lamp, let alone by designing something. But they are always the result of visions, intuitions, associations, stories and words. Masai is a Lamp
to illuminate paintings by taking power from a normal electrical outlet. It is therefore possible to put the light where necessary and at any time. The lamp is adjustable in height and the luminous flux is adjustable. The section of the lighting body (10 x 10 mm) is reduced to the minimum terms.
