Antibes System: An Intelligent Modular System
Antibes System is a flexible design ecosystem for every room in the home, designed by Piero Lissoni to meet the evolving needs of contemporary spaces: homes that change function, furnishings that must dialogue with different architectures, storage units that cannot simply be boxes for their own sake.
The Configurations
1. Living Room / Dining Area Storage Unit
The showroom piece is this version: a freestanding or wall-mounted storage unit for the living room, dining area or formal dining room. Available with hinged doors (push-to-open) or sliding/coplanar doors. Doors are available in wood or with a metal frame clad in glass, fabric, leather or wood in various finishes.
2. Bookcase System
A modular system for open bookcases without a back panel, suitable both for walls and as central room dividers. Minimalist aesthetic with a wide range of compositional possibilities, thanks to the variety of side unit heights and the multiple widths of shelves and bases. Integrates TV compartments, writing desks, chest of drawers and drop-flap door units. Horizontal LED lighting integrated into the shelves, dimmable at 2700K.
3. Wardrobe and Walk-in Closet
Wardrobe with hinged, sliding or coplanar sliding doors, available with engineered wood sides or frame with glass/leather. Walk-in closet with central island chest of drawers, shoe shelves, hanging rails, pull-out trays and sneaker shelves. Specialized internal fittings: trouser pull-out trays, belt holders, tie racks, shelves in regenerated leather or microfibre.
4. Boiserie
Antibes Boiserie is a modular system for wardrobes with no visible side panels. The structure consists of anodized aluminium rack uprights onto which elements are fitted as back panels, bases, shelves and suspended chest of drawers. Multi-function drawer accessories are available in black wood and taupe velvet microfibre. Shelves can also be made with an aluminium frame and glass top. Pull-out trouser racks, hanging rails and LED lighting are available.
To complete the system, island chest of drawers are available in single- or double-fronted versions, also on a metal tube base; the push-to-open drawers can have various finishes including mirror cladding. The Antibes Boiserie composition can be connected to Antibes wardrobes.
5. Kitchen System
Antibes K is the fitted tall unit system for modern kitchens. Continuously enriched both in aesthetics and practicality, with a wide range of accessories including bottle racks paired with glass holders, utensil rails and chest of drawers, all crafted in glass, marble and wood. The design is distinguished by the black aluminium finish frame that encloses the black-stained olive ash support slats, creating a visual contrast that enhances any environment.
Why It Is a Different System
While other modular systems simply solve a storage problem by stacking cubes, Antibes System transforms it into an aesthetic and architectural language.

What is the difference between Antibes System and other modular bookcases?
Antibes System is a design philosophy, not a standardized product. It integrates different functional universes (living room, wardrobe, walk-in closet, boiserie, kitchen) while maintaining the same formal DNA. Regular/Frame/Handframe doors, non-decorative structural aluminium frame, LED as architectural design, compatibility with luxury materials (leather, fabric). Other bookcases solve storage — Antibes transforms the storage unit into an architectural installation.
Can I customize the Antibes showroom piece or is it fixed?
The showroom piece cannot be modified: dimensions W 242 cm, H 204 cm, D 43 cm, Ecowood wood structure, 4 bronze aluminium Handframe doors with integrated handle, extralight glass, 8 shelves, LED lighting + remote control. Our consultants can however help you assess whether it works for your space or whether a different composition is needed. For different dimensions, other finishes or specialized modules (drawers, TV compartment, writing desk), we start from a bespoke design.
Does the LED back panel consume a lot of electricity?
No — 24V LED at very low consumption. LED back panel: 11 W/m (equivalent to a traditional light bulb). Dimmable with wireless remote control. You can choose 3 temperatures: 2700K warm evening light, 3000K neutral work light, 4000K cool reading light. Estimated annual consumption: on 8 hours/day → approximately €8–10/year. Switch it on at sunset to transform the system into a dramatic evening light installation.
