De Padova, Seventy Years of Milanese Elegance

De Padova was founded in Milan in 1956, when Maddalena and Fernando De Padova opened a showroom on Via Montenapoleone to sell Scandinavian furniture. Two years later, in 1958, they established ICF De Padova, producing Charles Eames and George Nelson furniture under license from Herman Miller. In 1965, the showroom relocated to Corso Venezia in Milan. Following the sale of ICF in 1980, Maddalena focused entirely on developing her own brand. This gave birth to the first lines of De Padova furniture and design objects: Dieter Rams designed the 606 Universal Shelving System, Achille Castiglioni created the Tavolo '95 and Scrittarello, and Vico Magistretti designed a major portion of the collection. 

The luxury signed by De Padova lies not in ostentation or complex forms, but in the purity of lines, rigorous proportions, and the tactile presence of noble materials: the grain of solid wood, the warmth of saddle leather, the natural beauty of marble, and the textures of structured fabrics. It is the cultured elegance of contemporary living, enjoyed with natural ease.
The De Padova catalog expresses this language through comprehensive furniture collections ranging from upholstered seating to tables, as well as lighting systems. It gathers creations by leading international designers—from Piero Lissoni and Naoto Fukasawa to Nendo, Elisa Ossino, and Omi Tahara—while integrating Japanese craftsmanship through the Time & Style ēdition collection. Since 2015, the brand has been part of the Boffi|DePadova group, completing a unified design ecosystem alongside Boffi and ADL.
