The Paradox of the Lightweight Monolith
How can a 200+ kg table appear light? The answer lies in intelligent geometry: the conical central base—instead of traditional four legs—creates visual space beneath the top, allowing the eye to "breathe". The thin top (about 2 cm of marble) rests discreetly on the base, creating the illusion of controlled levitation. This is the essence of Fukasawa's philosophy: subtract to add meaning.
