Heracleum: When an Experiment Becomes Iconic
It all starts from an experiment. Bertjan Pot, Dutch designer known for his research into materials, begins experimenting with LED lights trying to reproduce the branching structure of a plant. The technical problem is concrete: powering dozens of LEDs on thin branches would require so much soldering that the project would be impossible. Pot brings in Marcel Wanders, founder of Moooi, who solves the problem with a technology that did not yet exist in design lighting: Electrosandwich®. The metal structure itself becomes the electrical conductor, eliminating every internal cable. The result is a chandelier with the visual lightness of a branch — the flower structure is reproduced in a very natural way by the luminous polycarbonate lenses. The lenses are not fixed; they can rotate around their own stem and be freely positioned.
Endless: The Boundless Variant
Heracleum III Endless is the modular version of the family: each individual element can stand alone or connect to others via dedicated connectors — straight, at 90° or at 135° — generating light compositions of theoretically unlimited length. One element above the dining table, two connected for a kitchen island, a corner composition for a statement entrance: the construction logic adapts to every space. The rectangular form (116 cm wide, 37 cm tall) sets it apart from the Heracleum III Suspended and the Heracleum III The Big O, with its pure horizontal geometry that follows the line of the table or worktop beneath it.

The modularity and horizontal form of Heracleum III Endless make it suited to large and medium-sized spaces: above a dining table, a kitchen island, a worktop or a bookcase — anywhere you want lighting that is also sculpture. Its height of just 37 cm makes it suitable even in rooms with lower ceilings. The standard cable is 400 cm, with a 1000 cm option for double-height spaces. The Moooi Wireless Wall Switch dimming system is compatible and installs without modifying the existing electrical system and without additional cabling.

Is it dimmable? Which systems are compatible?
Yes: DALI dt6, Push/Pulse on line and Moooi Wireless Wall Switch.
What kind of light does it produce and how bright is it?
Warm light at 2600K, flux 1180 lm, CRI 91. A 2600K color temperature with 1180 lm output and CRI 91 corresponds to a very warm tone (almost amber, similar to vintage incandescent). It provides a sustained brightness comparable to an old 75–80W bulb, with excellent and realistic color rendering.
Can I connect multiple Endless modules for a custom composition?
Yes: modules connect via dedicated connectors (straight, 90° and 135°) for linear or corner configurations.
How far does it hang from the ceiling and what is the canopy like?
Cable 400 cm (1000 cm option available) and Pebble III canopy coordinated to the finish.
Can the LED "leaves" be oriented?
Yes, the leaf lenses can rotate and be oriented to shape the light effect.
