Davide Groppi: Light as a Material to Design
Since the late 1980s, Davide Groppi has been designing and producing lighting fixtures in Piacenza that treat light as a material to be sculpted, not merely a function. Vera is born from this design philosophy, an object that plays with perception, where the element of surprise (the bulb appearing and disappearing) becomes as much a part of the design as the light it casts. The light becomes an illusion, the bulb a hologram that appears upon switching on, generating direct, indirect, and diffused light, while the reflector guarantees an exceptionally high quality of illumination.

Vera FAQ: Your Questions, Our Answers
Color temperature, brightness, surface space: the most common doubts before choosing a designer table lamp.
Does Vera provide enough light to read or work at a table?
Vera is designed as a wide-diffusion ambient light, not as a focused reading lamp. While you can increase its intensity with the dimmer for more functional use, if your primary need is to read or work extensively on that surface, we recommend pairing it with a more directional light source: we can guide you to the right combination based on your space.
Is the 2700K or 3000K version better?
2700K delivers a warmer light, ideal for relaxation areas, bedrooms, and living rooms where you want an enveloping atmosphere. 3000K is slightly more neutral and brighter, recommended if Vera is sharing the room with other cooler light sources or if the space gets very little natural light. If in doubt, let us know which room it's going in and we'll recommend the temperature that best complements your current lighting.
With a 50 cm diameter, where can I place it without it looking oversized?
Vera works beautifully on ample consoles, sideboards, side tables, or generously sized nightstands, where its scenic presence has room to breathe. On surfaces less than 50-60 cm deep, it runs the risk of looking too large compared to its base: measuring your available space beforehand will help you avoid this common mistake.
Does the price include a warranty and certificate of authenticity?
Yes, we are authorized Davide Groppi dealers. Every product is 100% original, accompanied by the manufacturer's official warranty and included certificate of authenticity.
