Oluce Atollo: History and Proportions
Atollo is the archetype of the contemporary table lamp: designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977 and winner of the Compasso d'Oro, it has entered the permanent collections of the world's most important design museums.
Whoever purchases the Atollo lamp acquires a myth — a symbol of design and the history of decorative lighting, one of the very few lamps that everyone recognises and calls by name, and that is impossible to imitate. Its enduring success has elevated this lamp to iconic status: a perfectly balanced luminous sculpture of geometric form, composed of a cap in metal or glass shaped as a hemisphere, a dome connected centrally to the tip of a cone resting on a cylinder.
Key Features
Atollo is produced in three sizes - small, medium and large - and in two variants: in white opaline glass or in metal with finishes in white, black, satin bronze, satin gold and the new satin black nickel finish, with a bold character and rigorous aesthetic. Perfect in any setting: from the living room to the bedroom, from the study to the entrance hall.

FAQ: Atollo Lamp - Your Questions, Our Answers
Quick answers on versions, finishes and purchasing.
What is the difference between the glass and metal versions?
The opal glass model — 235 (large), 237 (medium), 236 (small) — offers a softer, more ethereal light diffusion. The metal versions - 233 (large), 239 (medium), 238 (small) - favour a more graphic and sculptural aesthetic, with finishes ranging from white to black, bronze, nickel and satin gold.
Is the lamp dimmable?
Yes: many versions of Atollo support a universal dimmer (please check the technical sheet for the specific model). When paired with dimmable bulbs, the light intensity can be adjusted to suit any space and time of day.
Can I order it in a finish not currently on display?
Yes: contact us for availability and production times. Certain finishes or special versions can be supplied to order with dedicated lead times and pricing.
