Martha by Poltrona Frau is the rocking armchair created by the designer Roberto Lazzeroni. The armchair for home furnishing is ideal in the living room but does not disdain an entrance, or a bedroom Martha is an armchair with a flavor of other times with classic lines without falling into the obvious, indeed with its shell shape, it almost looks like a petal that welcomes and protects in a graceful embrace.
The Martha armchair has generous, round and soft shapes, combining comfort, relaxation and lightness at the same time. Martha rocking chair is its most playful and light-hearted version: a rocking base in solid ash, a small piece of cabinet-making, creates a comfortable and fun rocking chair.
The two main elements of the armchair shell are obtained through a mold and are in polyurethane, the seat and armrests are part of a single sinuous, open line, with the two ends extended outwards. The curved and slightly padded backrest, while the structure is in triangular section wood and supports the whole. A slight inclination of the seat towards the back promotes optimal comfort and accentuates the dynamic design. The second base of the model has four legs or rocking and is made of solid ash, available in Wengé and Moka finishes. The exterior of the body is covered with a rich shell in Saddle Extra leather, while the interior can be upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or in fabric. Precious visible stitching, performed manually with contrasting thread, underline the combination of the two materials. The whole is completed by a soft seat cushion with removable cover in Pelle Frau® leather or in fabric. The play of colors and material combinations helps to underline the original dynamic and light line of Martha.
