Can the swing sofa stay outside all year round?
The EMU-Coat treated steel frame is designed for outdoor use and withstands weathering. EMU does recommend, however, storing the swing sofa in a dry, covered space during winter to prevent condensation and preserve the finish over time. For those living near the sea, a quarterly cleaning of the metal with petroleum jelly or car wax is also advisable.
Are the cushions resistant to rain and UV rays?
The included cushion is in outdoor acrylic fabric: it does not absorb water, retains its colour under UV rays, and dries quickly. This is the standard material for quality outdoor textiles. In the event of prolonged rain, it is still advisable to bring them inside or cover them.
How much space does it take up in the garden?
It occupies 286 cm in width × 138 cm in depth on the ground. Total height with canopy is 200 cm. Allow at least 60–80 cm of clear space on all sides for the swing movement and comfortable circulation around it. Send us your space measurements and we will confirm the feasibility straight away.
Can it be used as a daybed for resting or sleeping?
Yes — the backrest is reclining and allows the swing sofa to be fully converted into a daybed. With its seat depth and 3-seater width (286 cm), it is designed precisely for this purpose. The orientable canopy manages shade while lying down.
