The Fat-Sofa Outdoor collection brings the generous and welcoming shapes already developed in the indoor armchair outdoors, reinterpreting them for open-air living thanks to the design sensitivity of Patricia Urquiola. The essence of the design lies in the dialogue between the enveloping softness of the fully padded seat and the visual lightness of the backrest. The latter is characterized by a macro weave with great graphic effect, made with twisted polyethylene fibres in the distinctive dove grey colour, which develops on a light yet resistant structure in polyester powder-coated aluminium. This choice is not purely aesthetic: it guarantees durability and resistance to atmospheric agents, while creating a play of solids and voids. Comfort, a B&B Italia hallmark, is ensured by padding specifically designed for outdoor use, such as Bayfit® polyurethane foam, paired with linings with water-repellent treatment to resist humidity.
