The Gio collection designed by Antonio Citterio is intended for living outdoors; its ideal location is the garden, the outdoor space of terraces, or the poolside. The Gio collection is a complete family of sofas, sunbeds, armchairs, chairs, tables, coffee tables, and complements, characterized by solid teak structures in natural and antique grey finishes, the latter giving the wood a particular lived-in look with grey-silver reflections. The elements can be combined to form linear seating or create more dynamic situations by playing with corner units and chaise longues. From a structural point of view, the modules feature a wooden slat base onto which the backrest and armrest frames are attached; these are characterized by the interweaving of dove grey or wheat-coloured ribbons. The sofas, end units, corner units, and chaise longues with this particular type of structure can be disassembled very easily, thus reducing volumes if it becomes necessary to store the product during the winter period. The seats are upholstered in fabric with exclusive colour combinations and completed by seat and back cushions that make them particularly welcoming and comfortable. To ensure better insulation from the elements, all padding is covered with a polyester lining with waterproof treatment, while the fabrics are certified for resistance to atmospheric agents, UV rays, chlorinated water, and salt spray.
