Michele De Lucchi's project takes an iconic chair, the Donzella, and brings it into the contemporary world without losing its soul, thanks to the sinuous design of the armrests, the slender profile of the backrest, and the choice of relying on natural materials like ash and cord. The result is a classic contemporary chair that is instantly recognizable, just decorative enough without ever becoming intrusive.
Two Seat Options, Two Different Characters
The woven seat version brings artisanal warmth and a visual texture that enriches any space. The hand-woven natural paper cord creates a light and materially rich effect, suitable for both contemporary interiors and those with a more classic style. The padded version offers greater comfort and opens up a wide range of fabric or leather upholstery choices, allowing for extensive and coherent customization with the other furnishings in the room.
