Pico Bois by Mutina is the first wooden floor of the Italian company leader in coverings, born from the collaboration with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, the designers have used a vintage approach to be inspired by this collection of floors where the grain of the wood mingles with the dots texture.
With Pico Bois, Mutina creates a wooden floor, to give a sense of warmth to interior furnishings such as the living room, hall or bedrooms. The Pico Bois collection joins the classic Pico collection, the first collection created by the designers and the great classic Mutina, from which it takes the graphic motif with dots declined in blue and red, which here too are imprinted into the material to enhance the natural texture of the wood. The flooring in Pico Bois slats are made of oak in the dimensions 7x49 cm, with a thickness of 14 mm (4 mm of noble layer and 10 mm of birch for the support) and a micro-bevel that enhances its qualities, making the installation more simple. The characteristic dot pattern is created by priming and painting the raw surface with a water-based single-component, an ecological process that guarantees the durability of the product without the need for subsequent interventions. Finally, the strips are treated with an innovative embossing process to give the wood the hammered effect that distinguishes the Pico collection.
