Velour cotton is not a smooth cotton: the velour process creates a soft, velvety surface to the touch, while the yarn structure ensures a high water absorption capacity. What distinguishes velour cotton from traditional terry cloth?
Velour has a sheared surface on one side: it feels softer and more velvety to the touch compared to looped terry cloth. It maintains good absorbency thanks to the hydrophilic yarn structure, with a more compact appearance and a more enveloping sensation in direct contact with the skin.
How do you wash the Rex bathrobe?
