B&B Italia Camaleonda, a modular sofa reissued in 2020, retains all the elements that have made it a timeless contemporary classic. First introduced to the public in 1970, the Camaleonda sofa has been a key player in five decades of design history. Thanks to its great success among both the public and critics, it has defined the aesthetic of an era in interior design. In this reissue, Mario Bellini and B&B Italia have chosen to preserve the 90x90 cm seating module, as well as the dimensions of the backrest and armrest, which remain faithful to the original design. Even the original cutting templates for the upholstery have been recovered.
The comfort remains unchanged, thanks to the generous polyurethane padding, which, together with the deep tufting, creates the iconic capitonné effect. The modular block system ensures that seats and poufs are independent of any fixed shape, allowing for limitless recombination. Additionally, the backrests and armrests can be repositioned using a hook system, allowing users to redefine and reshape their living space. This flexibility enables the sofa to adapt to the preferences and needs of its owner. One of Camaleonda’s defining characteristics is its virtually infinite modularity a geometric structure that allows each element to function as a sort of giant pixel, shaping the home environment.

The padding has been completely redesigned to enhance comfort even beyond the original version. Camaleonda can be upholstered in the full range of B&B Italia fabrics and leathers. To recreate the original model’s look and feel, the Enia fabric from 1970 has been specially reissued in five color variations.
