Febo Maxalto Armchairs: Classic and Contemporary
Designed by Antonio Citterio in 2008, the Febo armchairs were conceived as the heart of the Maxalto collection of the same name. The reference is explicit: the traditional bourgeois armchair — the one that occupied the formal drawing room and spoke of the taste of those who lived there. Citterio reinterprets it with contemporary lines, rounded shapes and generous volumes — an enveloping seat that never loses the formal rigour that defines Maxalto. The saddle stitch seams, visible and elegant, add the sartorial detail that transforms the armchair from a furnishing accessory into an object of craftsmanship.
The Febo Armchair Versions
The collection is organised by design typologies conceived for multiple uses. The visual language remains consistent throughout the family: soft, enveloping, immediately recognisable.
Classic Armchair: The Heart of the Living Room
The reference version with enveloping backrest and generous seat. Model 2800T (W 69 × D 73 × H 64 cm, seat H 41 cm), compact and versatile; model 2801T (W 73 × D 73 × H 79 cm, seat H 41 cm) with a taller backrest. With armrests mod. 2837T (W 78 × D 89 × H 77 cm, seat H 44 cm) for maximum comfort during reading or conversation.
Small Armchair: Elegant and Compact Proportions
Model 2809T (W 66.5 × D 66 × H 66 cm, seat H 41 cm) is the compact version of the family. Same quality, smaller footprint: perfect in the bedroom beside a dressing table, in the entrance hall as a welcoming element or in a private study.
High-Back Armchair: Architectural Presence
Mod. 2820T (W 69 × D 75.5 × H 92.5 cm, seat H 39 cm) takes Febo towards a more scenic dimension. The vertical silhouette works perfectly in rooms with generous ceiling heights, grand entrance halls and master bedrooms.
Bergère: The Luxury of Rest
The most iconic version: the Bergère 2850T (total H 100 cm, D 94 cm, seat H 39.5 cm) with an extra-tall backrest and enveloping armrests. Can be fitted with the optional padded headrest 2830P that allows you to rest back completely. Naturally paired with the coordinated footstool.
Chaise Longue: Horizontal Relaxation
Mod. 2807T (W 90 × D 155 × H 85 cm, seat H 41 cm) brings the collection's enveloping language to its most reclined expression. It transforms a corner of the living room or master bedroom into a place of sensuous repose, with a backrest cushion in soft sterilised feather.

Is the Febo armchair upholstery removable?
It depends on the material. Fabric upholstery is fully removable: you can wash it or replace it over time, refreshing the look of the armchair without changing it. Leather upholstery is fixed (not removable), but quality leather develops patina and character with the years. Either way, this is an armchair built to last.
What leg finishes are available for the Febo armchair?
Legs are available in three configurations: thermoplastic in gloss chrome or bronzed nickel finish; upholstered in fabric or leather to match the body of the armchair for a single-material effect; solid oak base in grey, light brushed, black brushed and natural wengé finishes. What are the delivery times and shipping costs?
For configurations available from stock or on display in our Atelier, delivery is approximately 2 weeks. For personalised orders (fabric, leather, legs, wood finish) lead times vary according to Maxalto production schedules.
