Artemone: the Dining Sideboard Reinterpreted

Artemone was created to bring the traditional dining cabinet into the contemporary home. Antonio Citterio separates the carcass from the base with a gap of just a few millimetres, visually lightening the structure and softening the material contrast between aluminium and wood. The result is a piece of furniture with a clean, light aesthetic — a discreet presence with a recognisable character. Artemone recalls the style of 1960s furniture reinterpreted in a modern key, in an essential and sophisticated guise that integrates naturally into the dining area and the contemporary living room.

The Horizontal Configuration

The console with drawers on offer is designed to be placed against a wall, beside the dining table or in the living room. Four full-width drawers in strongly textured white sawn oak are ideal for storing cutlery and objects. The optional cutlery trays included in this composition make the piece immediately functional, with no additional accessories to order.

Where Artemone Belongs

Artemone is designed for the dining area as a sideboard or buffet cabinet, but its horizontal structure makes it equally effective in an entrance hall as a statement console, in the living room, or in contract environments and representative offices where rigour without austerity is the goal.

Materials, Finishes, and the Full Collection

Artemone is available in numerous combinations of hinged doors and drawers, with or without a drop-front compartment, fittable with shelves, pull-out trays, and cutlery organisers. The available finishes are:
– External and internal carcass in Oak: grey, light brushed, black brushed, or white sawn.
– External and internal carcass in lacquer effect: black, red, or soya.
– Support base: Graphite lacquered, amber, bronzed nickel, black lacquer effect, red lacquer effect, or soya lacquer effect.
– Handles: Graphite lacquered, amber, or bronzed nickel.
The zamak die-cast handles and the die-cast aluminium base follow the same finishes as the carcass for a tailored result. The drop-front compartment, when present, is internally lined with mirror-effect material; shelves are in tempered glass.
