Davide Groppi has stated that Infinito was created as a homage to the spatial concepts and slashes of Lucio Fontana, the very idea of a space opening up through an essential mark. Infinito's strip interacts with the wall in the exact same way: it does not merely illuminate a space, it cuts through it with a stroke of light, remaining present and invisible at the same time.
