Flexform Groundpiece: Modular Sofa

The Groundpiece sofa is a project that has redefined the concept of comfort in the living room. Designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform, it stands out for its extensive modularity, enabling extremely flexible configurations. Its geometric design features generous, welcoming seats and ample proportions that invite relaxation. The configurations adapt equally well to residential spaces and high-end contract projects.

Comfort and Premium Padding

The seat cushions are available in sterilised goose down with a non-deformable insert, or in expanded polyurethane and Dacron. A further Premium version features a high-resilience non-deformable insert for constant elastic support over time. The back cushions are in sterilised goose down, available with or without a bolster roll for more ergonomic support.

Modularity and Bespoke Configurations

The collection is built around a modular composable system: pouf, chaise longue, central elements, end elements, customisable armrests, integrated bookshelves, storage shelving units and a side table, all complemented by cushions in multiple sizes including bolster rolls. The armrests are available in the following versions:

  • "Fabric 24" armrest: metal structure with moulded polyurethane padding, upholstered in fabric
  • "Fabric 12" armrest: solid wood core with soft expanded polyurethane padding upholstered in fabric
  • Leather armrest: metal structure clad in leather (grey, dark brown (light and dark), black, olive, Bulgarian red, sand, tobacco, suede (brown, black, olive, sand))
