The Xila kitchen in the column and sideboard version by Boffi needs no introduction, a modern and elegant collection already present in our home furnishing showrooms in the version with metal snack peninsula and top in Carrara marble (Link) and in the wardrobe version column with White Silcover finish (Xila Link columns).
The Xila kitchen was designed by Luigi Massoni in 1972, and is the first kitchen to use a "groove" as a door opening system. The so-called "groove" system provides for the opening of the kitchen modules directly from a recess made at the top or side of the door, so that a space is created between the doors and the worktop or between the doors and the edge of the body. This detail increases the lightness of the volumes of the kitchen block and has the function of allowing the hand to grip the door, avoiding the presence of a real handle. The Xila kitchen marks a reference point in the home furnishing of the dining area being the first to have applied it, the groove system is therefore able to give the kitchen cleanliness and aesthetic compactness, capable of combining distinctive design, exclusive materials and last generation.
