Why Faroe in Your Home? 4 Reasons Beyond Aesthetics
Faroe is Boffi's bathtub with minimal yet generous forms in Cristalplant®, an innovative material with material sensuality that invites contact. The rectangular shape with soft profiles stems from an evolution of the Fisher Island model, but with more decisive geometry and more structured visual presence.
The bathtub is available in two variants: single-colour (matte white) and bicolour (matte white interior, grey Soft Touch interior).
1. The Bathroom Becomes a Daily Sanctuary
A generous bathtub (170×90 cm) is not useless luxury but psychological functionality. The space to stretch out, to move without feeling boxed in, to immerse your shoulders: all this transforms the bathroom from hygienic function into wellness ritual. Studies on domestic wellbeing confirm that generous bathroom spaces reduce stress and increase the home's perceived value.
2. Durability: Faroe Remains Beautiful Over Time
With proper maintenance (regular cleaning with gentle detergents, no aggressive acids), the Faroe bathtub maintains its original beauty for decades without yellowing. It's not the classic "after 10 years the bathtub deteriorated and you had to replace it": thanks to Cristalplant®'s regenerability, micro-damage cleans away, and the bathtub remains like new.
3. Pure Design Without Visual Dating
Piero Lissoni doesn't design for trends: he designs for time. Faroe's rectangular form with rounded corners and clean profile doesn't say "2025 bathroom" nor "1995 bathroom", it simply says "beautiful bathroom". For this reason, 15-year-old Lissoni/Boffi bathtubs today look just out of the factory from a formal perspective.
4. The 40% Outlet Offer Won't Last
This is the display piece in the showroom: no visible signs to the naked eye, but 100% functional. The 40% discount (€3,403 savings) reflects the fact that it's a display piece. Once sold, there won't be another Faroe at this price anytime soon.
Faroe Installation: What to Know
• Requires 2 people for transport (weight 131 kg – manageable but not light)
• Critically important substrate: the floor must guarantee minimum distributed support of 816.5 kg (when full of water + person's weight)
Daily Maintenance: How Faroe Remains Beautiful Over Time
Cristalplant® is easy to clean – follow these rules to keep it white and perfect.
After Every Use: After bathing, use a soft cloth + lukewarm water + neutral soap (pH 7), rinse and dry with soft cloth. This prevents limescale buildup and maintains the soft finish.
Weekly/Monthly: For general cleaning, use a specific bathroom detergent (like Cif, Cillit Bang – not acidic). Rub gently, rinse well. No metal scrapers – only hands and sponges.

FAQ: Faroe Boffi – Everything You Need to Know
Q1: Is Cristalplant® really regenerable? How does it work?
Yes, it really works. Cristalplant® is homogeneous in depth (it's not surface paint like other bathtubs). If after years of use the bathtub develops micro-scratches, encrusted dirt, or small damage, you can regenerate it. The surface returns like new. It's not magic: it's materials engineering. On acrylic or ceramic, that same scratch remains forever.
Q2: What floor support is required? Will my house support Faroe?
Minimum required support: 816.5 kg distributed (bathtub weight 131 kg + water 340 litres = 340 kg + people 70-100 kg = total approximately 540-650 kg dynamic load). Any modern house (built after 1970) easily supports it. If you have doubts (historic building, raised floor, particularly old structure), consult an engineer – it's 2 hours of inspection, not expensive, and gives you peace of mind. In 99% of cases, support is not an issue.
Q3: Is there a bicolour Faroe version? Alternative to matte white?
Yes, Boffi offers Faroe in two variants: (1) Single-colour matte white (the one available outlet now), (2) Bicolour: matte white interior + grey Soft Touch interior (the grey visually darkens the basin, creating a more intimate effect). The bicolour version creates interesting visual dialogue – it looks like two different materials, but is actually single Cristalplant® with different finish treatment. For bicolour, custom production time: 6-8 weeks. The white version is in immediate stock.
Q4: How do I match Faroe with other bathroom elements? Recommended furniture style?
Faroe by its nature is minimalist and timeless, dialogues with multiple styles: (1) Contemporary minimal bathroom: white Faroe + frameless mirror + linear LED lighting + polished cement floor, (2) Warm modern bathroom: Faroe + light grey/beige tiles + natural wood cabinet + warm 2700K lighting. The only rule: consistent quality. Don't pair Faroe with cheap elements – the quality contrast "dirties" both the bathtub's beauty and the poor furniture's ugliness.
