Atollo: History, Proportions, Meaning
Atollo is the archetype of the contemporary table lamp: designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977 and winner of the Compasso d'Oro, it has entered the permanent collections of the most important design museums. Those who purchase the Atollo lamp acquire a myth, a symbol of design and lighting furnishing history, one of the very few lamps that everyone recognizes and calls by name and that is impossible to imitate. The success achieved over the years has elevated Atollo to icon status, a perfectly balanced luminous sculpture, geometric in shape, composed of a hat in metal or glass made as a hemisphere, a dome centrally connected to the tip of a cone that rests on a cylinder.
Main Technical Features
Atollo is produced in three sizes - small, medium, large - and in two variants: in white opaline glass, or in metal in white, black, satin bronze, satin gold finishes and in the new satin black nickel finish, with a strong character and rigorous aesthetic. Atollo is perfect in any environment, from living room to bedroom, from study to entrance.
