B&B Italia outdoor has been present in outdoor furniture for over 15 years, an important milestone that serves as the backdrop for the video that pays homage to this event. B&B Italia outdoor began producing outdoor furniture in 2007, Patricia Urquiola designs the Canasta collection, consisting of chairs, armchairs, sofas, tables with a woven design, up to the present day, the Borea collection by Piero Lissoni inspired by airplanes composed of seats, beds, tables, coffee tables. Since the beginning of its history, B&B Italia has worked hard to design outdoor furniture products and collections made up of exceptional products, outdoor furniture signed by the most prestigious international designers.
The "Canasta" collection by Patricia Urquiola presents a design that is based on a macro weave of polyethylene, it was the first foray into outdoor furniture for B&B Italia, a story that has successfully continued giving life to collections in collaboration with some of today's most celebrated furniture designers.
In 15 years of outdoor production, B&B Italia has presented 40 collections by 13 designers, who have worked closely with the B&B Italia Research & Development Center, innovating and experimenting.
Among the designers who have contributed are Naoto Fukasawa who brought the minimal and refined style, Antonio Citterio with his classic garden chairs, Patricia Urquiola who used weaving as a form of expression, Barber Osgerby with an outdoor version of the famous "Tobi-Ishi" dining table, Philippe Starck brought innovation with the sofa "Oh, it rains!" which folds up to protect the seat from the elements. In 2021 the "Borea" collection by Piero Lissoni was born, inspired by airplanes. Together with Urquiola's 'Husk' chairs, 'Borea' marked an important step towards sustainability for B&B Italia, using materials such as aluminum and upholstery fabrics made with polyester fiber obtained from recycled PET plastic bottles.

B&B Italia outdoor novelties for spring summer are the expansion of the Borea collection, pieces of furniture characterized by elegance, realx and comfort. The Borea lounge bed has a balanced and delicate design, an oval shape that gives a unique character to the series, available in two versions: a chaise longue and a sofa, with a round section aluminum structure, available in white, dove gray and clay. The B&B Italia Outdoor sunbed is equipped with a reclining backrest which gives it an outdoor use with multiple purposes, it can accommodate one or two people when they are lying down.

Ever more refined and welcoming, outdoor furnishings transform gardens, verandas and terraces into oases of relaxation conceived as an extension of the interior spaces. A constant search for materials resistant to atmospheric agents has meant that outdoor environments evoke unique, surprising and emotional places and moments of relaxation.
