The story of Christopher Guy Harrison begins with a radical choice — leaving Europe and relocating to the heart of Java, where he found the world's finest mahogany carvers. There he built from scratch a state-of-the-art artisan facility. The quality of the work was so unmistakable that as early as 1994 the first Harrison & Gil mirror found its place on the shelves of Harrods, London's temple of luxury. In 2004, the British Interior Design Association awarded him the Outstanding Design prize — a formal recognition of what the industry already knew: Harrison had reinvented the language of luxury decorative furnishing. In 2006, the brand merged with the new upholstery and accessories line, reborn as Christopher Guy, with headquarters in Singapore.
