Publishers and Authors of Fabrics
Dedar defines itself as a "publisher and author of fabrics" — a position that goes well beyond manufacturing. Just as a publisher selects its authors and builds a recognisable editorial identity, Dedar constructs its collections through a constant dialogue with artisans and textile experts, combining fibre research with traditional production mastery. 70% of the materials used are natural fibres: wool, silk, cotton, linen — the very same raw materials with which Nicola and Elda Fabrizio began in the early 1970s. The international turning point came in 1995, when Dedar was chosen to design the textile décor of the Hotel Costes in Paris — the first of a long series of collaborations with the world's most exclusive hotel properties: Four Seasons Florence, JK Paris, Cipriani Abu Dhabi. Film director Luca Guadagnino has chosen Dedar for the fabrics in his film sets. The brand's showrooms are located in Milan (Via Fiori Chiari), Paris, London, Moscow, and New York.
