The story of Porro is the account of a family that has known how to interpret every decade without losing the thread of its own identity. The first generation — Giulio and Stefano — built the company from the artisan tradition of Brianza. In the 1950s, the second generation — cousins Carlo, Arturo, and Silvio Porro — marked the shift towards modernism, thanks in part to a long and fruitful collaboration with architect Giulio Moscatelli. In the 1960s, the transformation into a proper industrial operation required a new production facility, inaugurated in 1968. The third and fourth generations brought the brand to the international standing it occupies today.
In 2025, Porro turned 100 — a milestone celebrated with a retrospective exhibition tracing a century of wood, design, and technical innovation.
