Massimo Castagna, Yabu Pushelberg and the Iconic Light Ring
Henge's creative team is one of the most selective in the furniture design landscape. Massimo Castagna is the designer most closely bound to the brand's identity: he signs the seating of the Hexagon and Strip families, and above all the lighting that has made Henge celebrated worldwide — the Light Ring series: ring pendant chandeliers in burnished brass or burnished black steel, available in the variants Light Ring, Light Ring Horizontal, Light Ring XXL, Light Ring Slim XXL, and Light Ring Horizontal Polygonal. International studio Yabu Pushelberg (Toronto–New York) signs the Gentle sofa — one of the most sophisticated pieces in the living catalogue. Sculptor and designer Ugo Cacciatori, Isabella Genovese, and Davide Nascimbeni complete a roster of authors who, in 2024 at Milan Design Week, presented together the "Endless Vision" collection: twelve new products and an unprecedented collaboration with the Venetian brand Venini for a new lighting collection.
Stone, Brass, and Wood: Kitchens as Monolithic Sculptures
Henge's production pushes beyond the traditional boundaries of furniture and extends to designing kitchens as sculptural monoliths. The Ozone kitchen is built around faceted blocks of natural stone selected directly from the quarry — every top is a unique piece, different from the next in grain and colour, with an internal structure in matt black multilayer, electrically dampened push-open drawers, and compatibility with the finest Bora and Gaggenau hobs. The Air K It kitchen carries the same language into a configuration with variable depths and burnished steel metal inserts. Not kitchens to be exhibited in catalogues — but instruments of conviviality that carry the presence of architecture.

The Collections: Total High-End Furnishing
The Henge catalogue covers every living environment with objects individually made by Veneto craftsmen — no two pieces identical to the previous:
- Sofas and armchairs: the Gentle sofa (Yabu Pushelberg), the Oblio sofa, and the Cohiba sofa; the Audace armchair — upholstered seating in which the metal frame in burnished brass or steel is an integral part of the formal language
- Tables: S-Penny, Ted, and Oxymoron among the leading models; bases in burnished brass, marble, and hand-worked metals; tops in natural stone, solid wood, or glass with declared-thickness squared edges
- Chairs and stools: Hexagon, Strip (Massimo Castagna), Savanna, and Chair-Va; frames in burnished brass or steel; seats in leather or fabric customisable in multiple combinations
- Lighting – Light Ring: the collection signed by Massimo Castagna — Light Ring, Light Ring Horizontal, XXL, Slim XXL, Horizontal Polygonal — in burnished brass and burnished black steel; new collaborations with Venini for Venetian blown glass lamps; floor lamps Stalagmite and Go-go-go
- Bookshelves and storage: Diapason (open metal bookshelf), Spectre (solid wood shelving), Bistrot X (modular metal bookshelf); systems that structure the space without fragmenting it
- Kitchens: Ozone (natural stone monolith, faceted blocks, Bora and Gaggenau compatible), Air K It (variable depths with metal inserts), and Air Bar 2 — every top is a unique piece in stone extracted from hand-selected quarries, with electrically dampened drawers
FAQ – Henge: Your Questions, Our Answers
Who founded Henge and where is production located?
Henge was founded in 2011 by Paolo Tormena, current CEO, in Farra di Soligo, in the hills of the Treviso area in Veneto. The brand's visual and design identity was developed together with architect Isabella Genovese. All production is Made in Italy, handcrafted by the Veneto craftsmen of the atelier. Every piece is unique — the hand-working of natural materials guarantees that no object is identical to the one before it.
What is the Light Ring lamp and who designed it?
The Light Ring is Henge's iconic pendant lamp, designed by Massimo Castagna: a profile in various ring forms suspended in burnished brass or burnished black steel, with a downward-facing light source, available in multiple diameter and finish variants. The complete series includes Light Ring, Light Ring Horizontal, Light Ring XXL, Light Ring Slim XXL, and Light Ring Horizontal Polygonal. It is one of the most cited and recognised pieces in contemporary lighting design — capable of transforming any space, residential or contract, into one with a declared architectural presence.
What makes Henge kitchens unique compared to traditional design kitchens?
Henge kitchens are designed as sculptural monoliths in natural stone — every top is extracted from hand-selected quarries and worked by hand, meaning each kitchen has a grain and colour entirely different from the previous: a unique piece by definition. The Ozone kitchen, the most representative model, is formed by faceted stone blocks with a matt black multilayer structure, electrically dampened push-open drawers, and compatibility with Bora and Gaggenau hobs. Henge's material choices — stone, heat-treated oak and marsh ash woods — guarantee durability, uniqueness, and an aesthetic that does not age.
