Agape: Fifty Years of Bathroom Architecture
From its earliest years, Agape shaped revolutionary collections: Erion, a modular wood furniture system, followed by the celebrated Spoon bathtubs, with injection-moulded volumes, and Woodline, with an innovative use of curved wood. In 2009, Agape's passion for design culture led to the birth of Agapecasa, a line dedicated to re-editions of the original pieces by Angelo Mangiarotti, one of the greatest masters of post-war Italian architecture. A cultural gesture before a commercial one: preserving beauty means bringing it back to life. Today Agape is led by Emanuele Benedini (CEO) and the Benedini Associati studio, founded by Giampaolo together with his daughters Bibi and Camilla. The vision remains unchanged: "No space can express the spirit of a design project better than the bathroom."

Agape Materials and Philosophy
Every Agape piece is born from rigorous research into materials, proportions, and function. Stainless steel, marble, solid wood, ceramic, and aluminium come together in essential geometries that never age. Agape's minimalism is not a poverty of form: it is design discipline in service of emotion. Products such as the Cuna and Vieques bathtubs, the Lariana system — born from a long collaboration with Patricia Urquiola — or the Rigo furnishing system, all demonstrate how intimacy can be built through design.
An Agape bathroom is not furnished: it is inhabited. It is a space that listens to those who live in it, adapting to the project without ever relinquishing a strong identity of its own. This is why Agape products are chosen by luxury hotels, exclusive residences, and spas worldwide: because they immediately convey a sense of care and intentionality.
If you are looking for a fully customised solution, our team is available to guide you in selecting the collection best suited to your space and lifestyle.
